Philips: Augmented Reality Mugs

Augmented reality is a big trend at the moment in advertising campaigns and the use of the technology is very impressive in most campaigns, one I liked recently was the Suremen Adventure one, this one however, doesn’t use technology, and actually makes fun out of it, which I actually really like. Philips wanted to get more Taiwanese men to become more rugged and leave behind their preference for the clean shaven look, but how to do this and educate them in the art of shaving, when they have no hair? They created the “Low-tech Augmented Reality Mugs” to give them a view to a new look with a beard of a moustache, take a look and grow a beard! (If you can . . .)
