Volvo Trucks: The Ballerina Stunt

“World record-holding highliner Faith Dickey battles to cross the line between two speeding trucks. Will she make it? Please like, share and comment! World premiere of the new Volvo FH Sept 5, live at

The stunt was set up to show the precise handling of the new Volvo FH. Filmed on an unopened highway in Croatia in cooperation with Hollywood stunt director Peter Pedrero (James Bond, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean.) Directed by Academy Award nominee Henry Alex Rubin. Music by J. Ralph / The Rumor Mill.”

This woman, she be crazy! Or mental, brave, ridiculously good, awesome. You take your pick and throw a few of your own in there. It’s a great stunt for a viral ad like this one, but to me it only shows the talent of the girl rather than the “precise handling” of the trucks, I’m sure other trucks could do the exact same thing, so on the selling factor of this advert, it does nothing for me (not that I’m in need of buying a truck!) but on the stunt “will-she-make-it” factor it works very well.

  1. That is very interesting, and she is clearly both talented and brave, if slightly mad. The drivers also kept calm which I am sure was useful, but I am not sure it was as close as that, surely the rope snapping would have had a jolt on her leg via the leg strap, possibly pulling her off, if she was still attached?

    1. Some had commented on the youtube video that it shouldn’t really have snapped, it was a cable so it would have been very strong, possibly too strong to snap like that, but I doubt we will ever know the truth! lol

Tell me what you think
